Educating Communities Through
Awareness-Acknowledgement-Action
The Community Coalition On Drug Awareness (C-CODA) provides resources and evidence-based strategies to reduce tobacco use, underage drinking, excessive drinking, impaired driving, and substance abuse in Southwest Montana.
C-CODA has been a clearinghouse for the Elks Drug Awareness Program and Drug Enforcement Administration with the latest drug prevention literature and resources since November 2014.
Drug prevention literature has included:
Over the years, C-CODA has partnered with the Elks Drug Awareness Program, DEA’s Community Outreach Section, Gallatin County DUI Task Force, Missouri River Drug Task Force, Montana Opioid Substance Use Disorder Task Force, Montana State University Substacne Abuse Free Environment Coalition, and Veteran Service Providers.
C-CODA has participated in Bozeman Health-Community Health Fairs, Belgrade Fall Festivals, DEA National Prescription Drug Take-Back Days, Gallatin City-County Employee Health Fairs, Law Enforcement Memorial Rides, Manhattan Potato Festivals, Montana Bitter Pill Art Exhibit (Montana-Lives Affected By Drug Abuse), Montana State University Catapalooza Days, Music On Main Street, National Night Out Against Crime, and Red Ribbon Week in Gallatin County schools.
C-CODA has also been a Guest Speaker for Parent Advisory Councils at Bozeman High School, Chief Joseph Middle School, and Sacajawea Middle School.
C-CODA continues to target Substance Use Disorders in prevention planning, reporting, and identifying areas that the community should consider for action.
C-CODA’s website is funded by the Elks National Foundation Beacon Grant.
